Hello, my family of four will be coming to Disney World this November. We are considering the moderate hotels, but will the pool's slides be open then? also, which hotel is best for the not so young (17 & 20 yrs old). Or would a good option be 2 hotels

    Hi Jessica!

As one who preferably travels to Disney in the Fall/Winter time, great choice on making a November Disney trip! The days in November are not "screaming hot," and generally the foot traffic is a little bit slower. All the pool slides at Disney resorts are open year-round for the most part. Beyond some unexpectedly frigid temperatures, I don't foresee them closing any of the slides unless they see it may become a safety concern. In all my Fall/Winter trips, the pool and slides were always open...

I'm personally not big on the 2 hotel stay, only because I want to pack up once, on my Disney departure date :-) In terms of moderate resorts for your older children, you can't go wrong with any, but my family's 1,2 would be: 1-Coronado Springs; 2-Caribbean Beach. Both have very similar amenities: beach, pools with waterslides, arcades. The Caribbean Beach resort also has pontoon boat and canoe rentals. Coronado has a cool pool area (called the Dig Site). They also have a very nice casual dining restaurant: the Maya Grill.

It may come down to personal tastes. If you guys would enjoy a more tropical experience, go with the Caribbean. If you'd like the influence of Mexico, go with Coronado Springs.

    Good Luck and Have Fun!
