This is our family first WD trip and we will be arriving may 24-28. Do you recommend using the fast passes for the rides, characters or the parade? My daughter is 3 soon to be 4. She loves the princesses.

Hello, Rachel! Your first Walt Disney World vacation is coming up very quickly -- you must be getting so excited! There are so many FastPass+ attractions at each of the theme parks, and I'm happy to see that you are already looking into the many options that are available to you in May. I recommend choosing your family's priority attractions for FastPass+, rather than focusing on specific categories. If you think that your daughter will enjoy meeting with favorite Disney Characters on your visit, you can certainly check to see which ones accept FastPass+ reservations. If your daughter is a big fan of Disney's Frozen, she may really enjoy the meet 'n' greet opportunity with Anna and Elsa!

Personally, I like to use my initial three FastPass+ selections for rides. There are so many to choose from that the whole family can enjoy together! Because this is your first Walt Disney World vacation, you may prefer to include more variety in your FastPass+ selections by adding in a Disney Character greeting or parade as well. My one bit of advice regarding FastPass+: make sure you select your FastPass+ experiences as soon as you are able to. Guests staying on-site at a Disney Resort hotel can make FastPass+ selections up to 60 days in advance. All other Guests can make FastPass+ selections up to 30 days in advance with valid theme park admission.

If you would like personalized recommendations for your family, please do not hesitate to stop back by the Moms Panel. I'd love to help you narrow down the list to a few attractions that your daughter is sure to love. Happy planning, Rachel!
