Hi! My family and I are going on our first trip to Disney World in Oct. and I am second guessing my decision for purchasing the DDP. Can you please try and explain it to me and is it worth purchasing at all? Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks

    Hi, Leanne!

I really like having the Disney Dining Plan. It is a great way to budget for your vacation, as you will have most of your "big" expenses paid for before you even leave for your vacation.   No guessing on how much you will be spending on meals, as most of your food will be paid for.  You may find you will purchase an extra snack here or there, or maybe one more quick service meal, but overall, you will find the Disney Dining Plan provides a lot of food!

I also like that having the Dining Plan gets me organized.  I get my dining reservations made which gives us a plan each day.  It may seem like a lot of work getting your itinerary set and your dining planned, but what a treat when you get to your vacation and you just follow your schedule.

And another great reason I love the dining plan:  DESSERT!  You will get dessert with most of your meals (breakfast excluded) and who can complain about too much chocolate cake or Mickey Ice Cream bars?

If you do not plan to eat 2 meals a day plus a snack, then the plan might not be for you.  But if having regular meals is your plan, you will find it to be a nice savings  for you and your family.   Good luck with whatever you decide!
