Our family is going on our first Disney Cruise July 1-5 2015. We havve children 8-12 years, and we are wondering what the activities on board are planned for that trip/ 4th of july. we will be on the Disney Dream!

    Ahoy, Toinette -

Great to hear that you'll be sailing with Captain Mickey very soon for the 1st time! I'm sure your whole family is very excited as you come up to the remaining few weeks of your countdown. Celebrating the 4th of July Holiday will be a must onboard the Disney Cruise Line fleet. Similar to last year, you'll have an opportunity to see red, white and blue all over the ship. The kids clubs will usually celebrate with special arts and crafts activities for the kids at the Oceaneer Club and even at the tween club, Edge

You can expect Mickey and his crew to proudly show their colors with their awesome 4th of July outfits. I'm sure you'll have pretty cool pictures - so why not dress the part and bring out your own red, white and blue outfits for the family? Make sure you check out the Personal Navigator -- it will be delivered in your stateroom each night. This will help you be more prepared for what's in store the following day, so you won't miss any highlights.

There will be special touches with food and beverage concoctions that day too - watch out for the many surprises that the cast and crew of Disney Cruise Line have in store for you and your family. It will be an All-American theme that day!

    Have a spectacular vacation, Toinette!

    Cheers,
