Hi! My family is so excited because we are visiting WDW in April 2011, for the VERY FIRST TIME!! My concern is that I am very plus-sized, and can't walk or stand for a long time. Is there something I can do to help me along, besides a wheelchair? Thanks!

Hi, Karnisha!  I am a very plus-size gal myself (as you can tell from the Moms Panel videos), and I have found Walt Disney World to be a very accommodating place to visit.  The first thing to do in advance is get a supportive pair of tennis shoes and get them broken in before your visit.  This will make all the difference!  As you're breaking them in, try to increase your standing and walking stamina.  Check out the gels made for runners that prevent and/or relieve chafing.  Plan to see shows throughout the day to give your legs a rest.  If a wheelchair is in the plans, then use it!  You should check out the WDW at Large section of the AllEars website.  It helped me tremendously in alleviating my anxiety about fitting into rides, theater seats, etc...  before my first trip. There is a wealth of information available there.  If you have any specific questions, you can send them directly to me from my Meet the Moms page. I would be more than happy to answer them.  Don't stress! You can have a magical vacation!
