Walt Disney World Halloween

My family is very excited to attend MNSSHP this October. How early can we arrive at the park dressed in costume? If we are going to spend the entire day at MK, can we come dressed at 9AM or do we need to leave the park to change and come back later? Help!

BOO to YOU, Jami! You are going to love the frightful fest that is Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. Aside from Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival, it’s my absolutely favorite piece of seasonal magic!

I know you’re eager to get dressed up for the day, but you’ll need to wait a bit to wear your costume. Once you’ve had a good lunch, dessert and completed your FP+ reservations, make a stop at your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room. Then, spiff yourself up in your Halloween costume (make sure to stay cool in the warm Florida weather) and don’t forget your ticket or don your MagicBand! Just before the dinner hour, you’ll find Halloween-attired Cast Members just past the touch points to the right hand side. Its at that time you can enter Magic Kingdom dressed in your spooky finery and experience the party.

When you enter and don your party wristband, I have a few tips for you (It’s what I like to do before the party clock strikes at 7pm). Just after you pass the Town Square theatre, veer right. You’ll see the party Cast Members holding signs to enter the party, checking wristbands, handing our party guides and a fun trick or treating bag. If you are a Sorcerer of the Magic Kingdom, stop by the training center in the Main Street Firehouse to collect your specialty Halloween spell card. Then, boogie down with the Boo to You! Parade, which typically runs twice a night (check the Party Times Guide). If I can help with more of these ghoulish delights, let me know. I hope a ghost follows you home! ~ Lindsey P.
