My family will be going to DW this June for the very first time for all of us.We are camping at Fort Wilderness and have dinner reservations at the Grand Floridian and also the Contemporary Resorts. What is the quickest and best way to travel to & from?

    Hi Michelle!

The best way to get from Fort Wilderness to the Contemporary is to take the boat from Fort Wilderness to the Magic Kingdom or to take a boat from Fort Wilderness to the Contemporary, which ever comes fist!  Let's assume it's the boat to the Magic Kingdom.  The Magic Kingdom boat dock is outside the park, so you don't have to worry about using a ticket or anything.  Once there, you can just walk to the Contemporary in about 10 minutes or you could take a monorail to the Contemporary.

Likewise, to get from Fort Wilderness to the Grand Floridian, the best way is to take either of the boats mentioned above.  If you take the Magic Kingdom boat then walk to the Magic Kingdom monorail station and catch the monorail to the Grand Floridian.  If you catch the boat that goes to the Contemporary, then once you get there, enter the main hotel tower and go to the Contemporary monorail station; then catch the monorail to the Grand Floridian.

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any questions!
