My family has never been to Disney World and we want to plan our vacation for April 2021. What is the best way to plan our first vacation there and how soon can we book our reservations? Thank you!!

Hey there, Amy! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so glad you found us.

First-time visits to Walt Disney World Resort are one of my favorite things to talk about! You must be so incredibly excited to start planning for this magical trip! You are certainly in for the time of your life with your family, and will soon be making memories you will remember forever.

The first step in planning your vacation is to visit the Disney World website to check out everything that a Walt Disney World vacation has to offer. Next, you can easily begin planning right from the site, and crafting the Disney Resort Hotel package of your dreams! Or you may also book your vacation by phone at (407) 939-4357, where Cast Members are standing by to help you every step of the way.

Disney World vacation packages for 2021 usually become available for booking in the summer of the year prior, so keep a lookout around June/July of this year! I absolutely recommend that you consider staying on property at a Disney Resort Hotel, as it immerses you in the Magic from the very first moments of your vacation until the time you leave. If you book a Resort Hotel package, you will also be able to make Advance Dining Reservations 180 days prior to the start of your vacation, and FastPass+ selections 60 days in advance! Once your reservation is made and linked to your Disney World account, these selections can be easily made right from that site or via the My Disney Experience Mobile App.

Check out this information for a primer on all the details of planning your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth! Alternatively, if you would like some extra help in making plans, there are many Disney Travel Agents who offer complimentary services in order to streamline Disney Vacation planning.

Amy, I hope you find this information helpful as you start to make plans for your Disney adventures! Also know that we are here for you to answer any and all questions you may have along the way, so please do not hesitate to come back to see us any time!

    See ya real soon!
