My family and I are going to Disney World June 8th- June 15th of this year. I was just wonder what we should expect the crowds to be like. Also, what is the weather typically like? Thank you!!

    Hi Sonya,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

The peak summer season begins at Walt Disney World around the first week in June, so you can expect moderately heavy crowds during your visit. To make your visit go smoothly, I highly recommend that you use My Disney Experience to book FastPass+ options in advance. That will help assure that you can enjoy your top-choice attractions with a minimal wait.

It's a good idea to make dining reservations in advance as well. I don't like to be overbooked, but usually make one reservation a day for a table service meal. A sitdown meal each day gives you a chance to cool off, rest your feet and recharge for more fun. Plus, dining in the great restaurants is one of my favorite parts of a Walt Disney World vacation.

Our Florida summer weather -- including almost daily afternoon rain -- also kicks in right about the first of June. You can probably expect highs around 90 and lows in the low to mid 70s during your visit. I would be sure to pack a poncho for everyone in your party. The rains don't usually last long, but they can come up quickly in the afternoon, and it's good to be prepared.

My family never lets the rain slow us down. We throw on our ponchos and keep going!

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can do anything else to help you with your plans. Enjoy!
