My family is going to Disney for Thanksgiving. I’m left to decide do I go with my 9 month old or sit this vacation out? My in-laws have hired the private guide to take us around the park. Would I need a car seat for that?

    Hi Katelyn!

It is exciting to hear about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. My family as well will be there that entire week enjoying a fun family reunion we try to do each year. We also have reserved the VIP Guide Services for the day after Thanksgiving when the parks will be crowded. We have done this many times and you will love the ease and stress free visit to one or more parks during that time.

You will not need a car seat but you will need to let the VIP Service team know that you will need one in the vehicle your guide will be using. They will have it in the car when they pick you up so you do not have to lug your own around. They will have access to back stage parking making entrance into the parks easy. Be sure and bring the stroller for going around from attraction to attraction. You can dictate where and what you want to see and do. With a younger child you will probably not want to try for all four parks in a day but you can certainly do a couple. If you would like to have a dining reservation again be sure and request that through the VIP Service and they will try to take care of that if you have not already. Request special seating for parades and shows if that interests you as well.

Although your child is young and will only be 9 months old I would not go without him/her. My granddaughter was that age last year for our Thanksgiving vacation and she did just fine. She was excellent on our all day VIP guide day too napping when she was sleepy in her stroller. We took turns with the attractions on those things she could not be on and the guide was excellent in guiding us to the best plan.

Seeing the reaction from their little faces with all the excitement and magic around them is priceless. Catching that all on film is a memory you will never regret and can share later in their lives about their first Disney visit.
