Disney's Magical Express

Hi! My family and I are going to Disney. We leave on Tuesday. We were mailed 4 plastic luggage tags and 4 yellow luggage tags. Do we need both in order for them to be picked up by Disney’s Magical Express?

Hey, Stanley! Can you feel the pixie dust already falling on you and your family? You are SO close to beginning your magical vacation at Walt Disney World Resort! It is time to start that final checklist and begin packing. Have you made your dining reservations and FastPass+ selections? Do you have all of your travel documents? Have you completed Online Check-In for your resort yet? I am glad to see you will be using Disney's Magical Express for your journey to and from Orlando International Airport. Once my family is on board that motorcoach and the welcome video starts rolling, I feel like I can finally sit back, relax, and let the magic begin!

The yellow luggage tags you received with your Disney's Magical Express informational letter are the most magical items you need to make your arrival practically perfect in every way. Just affix them to each piece of luggage you are checking at your home airport. When you arrive at Orlando International Airport, you will be able to head straight to the Disney's Magical Express Welcome Center on the first floor of Terminal B without first stopping by the luggage carousels. The airport crew will sort out those bags with the yellow tags and send them on to the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. In my experience, the luggage usually shows up in our guest room about three or four hours later.

The other plastic luggage tags sent to you are complimentary keepsakes usually given to guests who have made a Disney Resort Hotel Package part of their plans. You are welcome to also affix them to your luggage, but the yellow tags are the most important ones. I do have another bit of important info for you - make sure you put your MagicBands into your carryon luggage, not your bags that will be checked! You will need those MagicBands to check in at the Disney's Magical Express Welcome Center, to enter your resort room, and to enter the theme parks if you decide to head there as soon as you arrive.

Thanks so much for stopping by to chat with us today and please let us know if you have any other questions before your pixie-dusted adventure begins!
