    Ingrid from CT Asked

I want to take my family to disney for the first time. What is the best time of year to go(less people/slow time of the year for visitors). Also any tips for a first timer mom of 3 girls (4,7 & 9year olds) going to Disney?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Ingrid! I think you’ll really enjoy your trip with your girls! I’m glad to see that you are preplanning, so you’ll be sure to snag your preferred dining reservations, FastPass+ reservations as well as your Disney’s Magical Express complimentary reservations.

I always prefer to visit Walt Disney World Resort in the cooler months - think early October (for the Halloween fun before it gets crowded) and in early March before Spring Break really gets started. Another fun time to visit is the winter, perhaps for a Racecation with runDisney or for Epcot’s International Festival of the Arts. Your girls should be old enough and tall enough to tackle most if not all of the attractions around the Resort, but be sure to check out magical experiences like haircuts at Harmony Barber Shop, Mermaid and pirate princess makeovers at The Pirate’s League or Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Princess transformations! You can also experience amazing snacks, free games and plenty of shows. Even as many times as I’ve visited (I’ve lost count of the trips!) I still find new things to do every trip. Be sure to check the special offers page from time to time for savings and unique vacation ideas.

My best advice is to really analyze your vacation style and interests, and return to ask me as many questions as you like. I’d love to help you plan your trip! ~ Lindsey P.
