We have a family of 8 with many different ages and we want to know what is the best possible way to see and do everything that each person wants?

Hi Susan!  Wow, traveling can be hard when trying to please everyone in a large family so organization is a must!

The first thing I would do is to give the kids a notepad and have them make their own list of what they consider a "must do" in the parks. If they are too young to look at the websites or books then you can help them watch a video or go over the options with them and ask them for their input. Once you have all of the lists (I ask for only 6 attractions max) then you can see what is duplicated on them and make your own priority lists of what the majority want to see.

Head to the parks with a definite plan. Know which attractions use Fast Passes and understand how that system works. If you have older children who wish to head out on their own then make sure you have watches and set meeting places and times. We always used meals as our meeting place so we could connect and also all sit down for a meal together.

If you have little ones remember you can do rider swap on many attractions. Just ask the cast member at the entrance that you will need to use Rider Swap and they will explain how the system works. Basically one parent will wait with the kids who can't ride or don't wish to ride while the other parent takes the older ones. Then you can swap out so you won't be missing the fun!

If there are activities that the older ones wish to do such as rent the fast Sea Raycer boats then make sure you also have something later that is centered around the younger kids such as a pirate fireworks cruise or Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique make over experience. It will be a give and take vacation and sometimes splitting up for the two interest groups but it will all be magical no matter what you decide or need to do!
