My family desperately wants to eat at the Be Our Guest restaurant. What is the best way to secure a reservation? Trip is October 31- November 4, 2014.

    Hi Wendy -

Be Our Guest Restaurant offers such a lovely experience.  You should know that Be Our Guest Restaurant is somewhat unique in that it is a quick-service location at lunch and a table-service location at dinner.  This is a very popular location, so you should try to make your dinner reservation as soon as you can.  You can make reservations 180 days in advance either by calling Disney Dining at 407-WDW-DINE (407-939-3463), or at Disney Dining Online.  If you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, you will be able to make your reservations at 180 days in advance of your check-in day plus up to 10 subsequent days.  I suggest that 180 days before your check-in date, call Disney Dining.  As the cast member to check for the day that you want the most first, but then be flexible with your choices of both date and time.  When my family dined at Be Our Guest Restaurant, it was at 4:40 p.m., which is a little early for dinner, but was a great time nonetheless!

If you are unable to secure a dinner reservation, Be Our Guest Restaurant is a quick-service location at lunch.  This means that you do not need a reservation.  There may be a line that builds for this restaurant, so you may want to get in line early.  You are still eating in the same amazing location as you would be for dinner, so I think that this is a great alternative.  Also, Disney has been testing sending e-mail invitations to guests to get a FastPass+ for lunch here.  These typically have been coming fairly close to your arrival date.  I would check the e-mail that you have linked to your My Disney Experience account as you approach your check-in date.  There is no guarantee that this will happen for you, but it cannot hurt to check.

    Happy dining, Wendy!
