My family will be departing on April 15th for the Star Wars Day at Sea Cruise. I understand you do not allow hard alcohol brought abroad but I was told we can purchase it onboard. Is this true? If so, what is the purchase price for Tito's vodka?

Welcome aboard, Sally! April is almost here and while most of us will be making sure our tax returns are properly filed on April 15th, you and your family will be relaxing at sea with Disney Cruise Line! I should have booked a cruise for that week too! You're in for such fun!

Disney Cruise Line does not allow hard alcohol to be brought onboard the ship anymore, though limited beer and wine may be carried on by guests. Please read the details of Disney Cruise Line's alcohol policy for specifics, so you're prepared. You are correct that the Duty Free shops onboard do sell some liquor, and you may purchase a limited amount in ports of call. However, as I understand it, any liquor purchased in port or onboard in the duty free shop, White Caps, will be held for you until the end of the cruise, when you can then retrieve it as you debark the ship.

However, the good news is that Disney offers so many fabulous drinks onboard and special drinks of the day too, many which include vodka, so if those types are up your alley, you're in luck! I enjoy trying a drink of the day each time we sail, and my husband and I have loved the different beverage tastings we've attended. If you are interested in attending a vodka or martini tasting (or margarita, scotch, wine, or other beverage tasting), swing by Guest Services as you board the ship to get the dates and times for the tastings. They cost between $15 and $45 per person, depending on the tasting, and can be booked then. I highly recommend at least one, as the bartenders that lead the event make them so much fun!

Have a wonderful cruise in just a couple of weeks, Sally!
