Hello. My family and I will be there in December. We are planning on going on the tours for each park. Is it customary to give a tip to the guide? If so, how much is recommended?

Hello Riselle!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I love taking part in the Events and Tours at Walt Disney World Resort. This is in no small part due to the Cast Members who operate the tours being exceptional in every way.

While your heart is in the right place, Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members who operate the Tours are not permitted to accept tips for the service they provide.  If you are taking a tour from a company not affiliated with Walt Disney World Resort, I strongly urge you to confirm the tipping policies with the booking company before your trip.

You are allowed to give a small treat or thank you card to a Cast Member as a token of appreciation but it is required to be minimal.

My daughter made simple bead bracelets in Disney Character colors and gave one to a Cast Member on a recent Walt Disney World vacation.

If you truly want to thank a Cast Member for exceptional service, you may send an official Guest comment to Walt Disney World Guest Communications, PO Box 10040, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830-0040, send an email to wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com or fill out a comment card at the nearest Guest Relations location.

Tipping for Restaurant Servers, Bell-Services and Baggage Handlers on Disney's Magical Express at Walt Disney World Resort is permitted.

    Have a Magical Tour!
