Hi moms! My family and I are only 26 days away from our very first trip to WDW and we are staying at the Art of Animation resort. We are all so excited. My question is about the wake up calls. Is this a free service or is there a fee? Thank you so much!

Hi, Cassandra, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

My family and I are eagerly counting down the days until we return to the Walt Disney World Resort too! It just can't come soon enough! I'm excited to hear that your family is so close to beginning your very first visit and that you're staying at Disney's Art of Animation Resort!

My kids adore Art of Animation. We are big Cars fans, so our favorite area of the resort is the Radiator Springs area where we can take photos with our favorite Cars characters and even snag our own Cozy Cone Cabana to enjoy the pool! So cool!

Wake-up calls are a must for us when we stay at a Disney Resort because our kids always pop out of bed ready for another magical day at the parks when one of their favorite Disney friends calls them to say good morning. There is no charge for this at all. Before you go to bed, just push the Wake-Up Call button on your resort room phone and follow the prompts to set a time for the next morning. You can't choose which character calls, but we've had Mickey, Stitch, and Baymax call to wake us up, and that really makes a great start to the day! Be sure to put the phone on speaker as soon as you answer so that your whole family can be greeted by one of the characters.

Have a really fantastic trip, and enjoy every single magical moment, Cassandra!
