My family consists of a 13 year old (boy), a 3 year old (girl), and an 18 month old (boy). We are planning a December 1 trip to Disney. My 3 year old loves Princess Tiana. Which Disney resort should we stay in?

Hi, Kimberly! If you were coming next spring, I would have the perfect suggestion for you. In the spring of 2012, new Royal Guest Rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort will take guests on a vacation getaway to Princess Tiana’s guest house where her friends have also come to visit. The story behind the Royal Guest Rooms is Princess Tiana has invited her royal friends for a vacation getaway. Friends like Belle from “Beauty and the Beast” and Jasmine from “Aladdin” brought along some of their most treasured possessions. Since “The Princess and the Frog” is set in Princess Tiana’s hometown of New Orleans, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort is a natural fit for the story.

You are absolutely correct in wanting to stay on-site. The Guest perks (like Extra Magic Hours and Disney service) are amazing.  For your December trip, there isn't really a Walt Disney World Resort with Princess Tiana theming available.  I would stay in the highest level (value, moderate, or deluxe) Walt Disney World Resort that your budget will allow.  For you and your three-year-old can still find Princess Tiana. You can visit her and Prince Naveen behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square of the Magic Kingdom.  Happy planning and have a Magical vacation!
