My family and I are considering going on a cruise in dec for the holidays. What is to be expected of the food menu during our cruise and what is the best advice you have for sea sickness for children? Both of my children will be 6 and 1 yrs old when we go.

    Welcome aboard, Laura!

Sailing on the Holidays on the High Seas voyages is an awesome way to celebrate this special season. The ships are beautifully decorated and your senses just go on hyper drive the minute you step aboard the ship. Besides enjoying the already special Disney Cruise activities that normally happen onboard, Captain Mickey and his crew, takes the time to add lots of special touches that makes this an extra special time to go cruising. Special menu items are offered during the season that do celebrate the holiday spirit. There are lots of highlights that even Santa Claus would love to take a bite of. Thanksgiving, Christmas eve, Christmas day, as well as New Year's eve special menu items are undoubtedly extra scrumptious and add to the festivities. And the best part is... you don't have to lift a finger in the kitchen to feed your buccaneers!

I have had a few friends with children who get motion sickness, and I've heard that there are wristbands that help when they travel. I would encourage you to check these out, as well other types of drug free alternatives for the kids. Nausea is not fun at all - but hopefully, the wristband will work and you don't have to deal with possible side effects that are usually caused by other forms of motion sickness medication. The kids might surprise you though, and they might not even get sea sick - in fact, they might be too busy and distracted with all the fun activities at the Youth Clubs, that the nausea might not even have a chance to creep up. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I hope this helps. Do let us know if you have any additional questions about your upcoming cruise. We're always glad to help.
