    April from OK Asked

My family and I are coming in October and staying off property. Can we still buy magic bands and transfer our park admission and photo pass and everything to it? Or do we have to use the cards? Thanks!

    Welcome, April!

The Disney Parks Moms Panel is here to help you plan every detail of your upcoming vacation!

Even though you are staying off property, you can still purchase a Magic Band to use for your park admission, FastPass+ selections, and Photopass.

Once you buy your Magic Band, either from the Disney Store online, the Shop Disney Parks mobile app, or once you arrive in the parks, just link your Magic Band to your account by signing into your My Disney Experience account. There's a unique code on the back of the Magic Band that you will use to link the Magic Band to your account. Be sure to sign in to this account from a computer. This just makes linking your Magic Bands a little easier.

The cards can be used just like the Magic Bands, so whichever you choose to use during this visit is left up to you. Just be sure to deactivate the card or Magic Band that you decide not to use. You can manage your cards and Magic Bands through your My Disney Experience.

Enjoy your upcoming vacation! If you have more questions before your trip, just visit with us again

    Happy planning!
