My family and I are coming to Florida April 6 thru April 12. We are not staying at the Disney resorts, but we are going to Walt Disney and we are wondering how the new fastpass + will work for those that don't stay on the Disney properties?

    Hi Sue!

Congratulations on your "almost here" visit to Walt Disney World.  I bet you are so excited!

All Guests, regardless of where they are staying, may use the FastPass+ system.  Guests who are not staying at a Disney owned resort hotel may make their FastPass+ selections up to 30 days in advance.  Since you are well within this time you may make your FastPass+ selections now, or alternatively you may wait until you are in the theme park and make them at the kiosks provided.

If you would like to make your FastPass+ selections now, you will need to first register for a My Disney Experience account.  You may create and access this account via the website or the mobile app.  Once you have your My Disney Experience account, you will need to link park tickets.  Finally you will be all set and can make your FastPass+ selections.

I highly recommend using My Disney Experience for your vacation, including when you are in the theme parks.  I have found it to be a wealth of information and like to use the app on my smartphone and/or tablet.  I have even changed my FastPass+ selections with my phone while sitting and relaxing with a Dole Whip.

Sue I hope this information helps you to enjoy your upcoming vacation to the fullest.  If you have any questions or need assistance with My Disney Experience and FastPass+ once you are in the theme parks, ask the Cast Members for help.  They are wonderful to help explain anything you need to know.

    Have a MAGICAL vacation!
