Hi, my family and I are coming to Disney world for spring break. My son is autistic, and has an obbsesion with character autographs. His favorite character is Pinocchio. I know he is not scheduled to come out, but is there any chance he will come out.

    Hi Julie!

I'm so happy to hear you're planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation with your family! I'm sure you're counting down the days until you're making magical memories with the ones you love.

I'm also a big fan of Pinocchio! I remember watching the movie as a child, and it's always been one of my very favorite Disney animated films. I recently heard rumors of a live-action movie being made that's based on the Pinocchio story - I really hope the rumors are true!

While Pinocchio is a popular Disney Character, unfortunately he doesn't have a designated Meet and Greet location. He does, however, make an appearance each day in Disney's Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom Park. You can find him riding atop Monstro on a gorgeous float, right behind the steampunk-inspired Maleficent dragon and Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

The only time I've seen Pinocchio greeting guests in recent years is during an event called "Character Palooza", offered sporadically at Epcot and Hollywood Studios. During these unscheduled and unannounced surprise events, many rarely-seen Disney Characters appear for a brief mingling with Guests. There are no PhotoPass photographers, and the lines to meet the characters close quickly. It's really just a magical moment that happens, and there's no way to predict times for this event. If you happen upon it, you're one of the lucky ones!

I encourage you to make sure to drop in for a Quick Service meal at Pinocchio Village Haus in Magic Kingdom Park. The restaurant has beautiful murals of Pinocchio and his friends on the walls. Make sure to write down your wish in the Blue Fairy Wish Book, hidden in the corner of the restaurant!

I hope your son is able to see his favorite character during your Disney vacation. Have a magical day! - Diane W.
