Hello! My family is coming to Disney World for our first ever Disney trip to celebrate my son's 5th birthday!! What can we do to help make his birthday even more magical than just visiting the park alone?

    Hi Taylor,

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel. Birthdays at WDW are the best ones. I bet he will love a character meal. You cannot go wrong with the most famous Disney Characters. I will give you three suggestions for you to make a reservation for a meal with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto and Goofy. My favorite place would be at Chef Mickey's located at Disney's Contemporary Resort. Second option and easier to get, Tusker House Restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom and a third option would be at Cape May Cafe at Disney's Yacht Club Resort. Characters may change without notice and you can start to make your reservation with 180 days in advance. All of them have excellent food and are incredible opportunity for photos. Don't forget to ask for a birthday buttom for him at the entrance of the park or at your Disney Resort. Lots of Cast Members and guests will congratulate him. You can customize a cake for him too by calling  407 827-2253 and another great ways to celebrate you can find at Disney Floral & Gifts. If he into Pirates, you can schedule a pirate makeover for him at The Pirates League. It's super fun, my son did with six years old.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
