    Amanda Asked

My family of 6(children 9,7,5 &1) are planning a trip to WDW in April. HOw long is best to stay? dont want to rush. Staying offsite, what are the best char meals and dining to get the best for our buck? Also how many days in each park would u recomm

    Hi Amanda!

I don't think there is a good set answer on how many days to stay, especially with four theme parks and two water parks, but a Downtown entertainment district, etc.  However, I would recommend 2 days in the Magic Kingdom, 2 days in Epcot, and one day each at Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and at any of the water parks you want to visit.

My children, ages 11 and 7, love Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary, 1900 Park Fare in the Grand Floridian, Ohana in the Polynesian (for breakfast), Cape May Cafe in the Beach Club (for breakfast), and the Garden Grill in Epcot.  They also love eating in the Mexican Pavilion in Epcot, at the Coral Reef at Epcot, in Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge, at the Sci Fi Dine In Theater at Hollywood Studios, 50's Prime Time Cafe at Hollywood Studios, and at Tusker House in the Animal Kingdom.

With regards to value, it's hard to beat the Trail's End restaurant at Fort Wilderness.  It's probably the best dining value on property; I recommend going there for dinner which is easiest to do on a day you visit the Magic Kingdom.  That's because you can just take a boat between the Magic Kingdom and Fort Wilderness; it's a very relaxing 15 to 20 minute boat ride.

I hope this helps you with your Disney planning!  Write back with more questions!
