We are a family of 14. This is children and grandchildren combined, ages 1-30. One of our children is autistic. We are looking for recommendations for lunch and/or dinner on July 3rd, 2015 in Magic Kingdom or Epcot.

    Hello, Joshua!

There is no better vacation than one filled with family and friends at the Walt Disney World Resort! Traveling during a holiday weekend with a large party requires pixie-dusted planning but can be done.

I would consider planning your meals at "off times" to avoid crowds. We often eat an early lunch or late afternoon dinner to help our son endure noisy areas or large crowds. For lunch, we have found Columbia Harbour House, Pinocchio Village Haus or Tomorrowland Terrace to be great quick service restaurants with plenty of seating and offer a variety of items sure to please everyone in your crowd.

Since, during your visit, our nation will be celebrating its birthday, I think it’s the perfect time to have dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern. You can enjoy an amazing all-you-care-to enjoy family style dinner feast while dining in one of six themed rooms honoring our nation's history. You will want to make an advanced dining reservation as soon as possible to secure a time for your large party. Keep in mind that your party may be split up and seated a several tables. In my experience, we were seated in close proximity, and all served at the same time.

Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements about fireworks, park hours and other events during your July holiday vacation.

    Happy planning!
