We are a family from N California. Been to DisneyLand 25 times, Our children are now older teens. We are use to the walking, with a WDW hopper what is the distance to walk from park to park rather than the bus system? Thank You We look forward to visit

The layout of WDW is very different than that of Disneyland. In California, you have Disneyland, California Adventure, and their Downtown Disney all within a few hundred yards of each other. In Florida, the parks are all miles away from each other.

All of WDW is approximately 40 square miles -- about the size of San Francisco. As an example of the scale you're dealing with, the Magic Kingdom is approximately 5 miles from the Animal Kingdom, as the crow flies. It's probably more like seven miles if you traveled on roads. Even if you wanted to walk it, there are no sidewalks or pedestrian byways. It would be quite dangerous to attempt this. The Disney transportation system does a great job of getting guests to these disparate locations in the most efficient way possible.

The only two of the four theme parks that are walkable from each other are Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. If you exit Epcot via the International Gateway located in the World Showcase area, there is a walking path you could take to DHS, which is about a 1.25 miles away.

My guess is that most of the time you're going to be using the Disney transport.
