We are a family of 4 w/ 2 boys ages 12 & 14. Stayed at POR in 8/07 & loved it. Returning in 8/10 & debating saving money with a value resort as we spend most of our time at the parks. Are there any major disadvantages compared to POR or CBR?

Hi, Laura!   If you go from a Moderate Resort to a Value Resort, you will lose some amenities in your room such as a double sink, coffee maker, refrigerator, and square footage (moderate rooms are about 314 square feet vs. 260 square feet in a value room.)   Value Resorts do not have a sit-down restaurant or a pool slide.

For me, the biggest difference between value and moderates is the overall feel.   The moderate resorts have a more relaxed feel.   The value resorts are full of energy, kids, and activity.   If you do not plan to be in your room much, then I would save the money and book a value resort.   For a more leisurely vacation, the extra money is worth it for a moderate resort.

Whatever room type you choose, I hope your vacation is magical!
