Hi, we are a family of 6, with 2 boys ages 12 & 10 and 2 girls ages 7 & 4. We have booked a 4 night/5 day pkg with dining at Ft. Wilderness Cabins. Please help me convice my hubby that we need to get the park hopper option! Thank you!

Hi Jennifer! I'm always looking for ways to save money on my Disney vacations, but one thing I never skimp on is adding the Park Hopper option to my tickets. Here's why: I like to avoid crowds and long lines at the parks, and I've found that the flexibility of being able to visit multiple parks in one day helps me do that.

If you have a Park  Hopper, you won't find yourself stuck in a crowded park. My family likes to arrive at the Magic Kingdom before it opens in the morning. We've found that we can experience lots of rides and attractions with minimal waiting during those first few hours. By lunchtime, the crowds generally become thick and the lines long, so we hop on the monorail and head to Epcot, which we've always found to be less crowded in the afternoons. Hollywood Studios is often much more crowded on days when Fantasmic is scheduled. With a Park Hopper, you can visit the Studios one evening to have dinner and see Fantasmic, and then come back the next day to experience the rides and attractions when the park attendance is lower.

Since you're staying at a Disney resort, the Park Hopper enables you to take advantage of the morning or evening Extra Magic Hours at a park without having to stay all day at that park. Since many Disney resort guests don't purchase the Park Hopper, you'll find that the park with Extra Magic Hours is often more crowded. With a Park Hopper, you can take advantage of the morning Extra Magic Hours at one park and then hop to a less-crowded park during the day. Likewise, visit one park during the day, and then use your Hopper to take advantage of evening Extra Magic Hours at a different one.

Also, since you'll have the Dining Plan, the Park Hopper would give you the freedom to dine at the restaurants in the parks, without having to spend the entire day in that park.

Hope you can convince your hubby to add the Park Hopper!
