Hi! My family and I are booking our first Disney Vacation for next November, however I am wondering if it is cheaper to book this far in advance or wait until a couple months before??

    Hi there, Crystal!

It's so exciting to begin planning for a Walt Disney World vacation. There's so much to think about, you almost need a Fairy Godmother to step in and help out.

When planning your vacation, the prices for Walt Disney World resorts are pretty much established a year in advance, and theme park tickets may see an annual price increase, but they aren't typically going to change after that. My advice, so that you are sure to get the type of accomodation you want, would be to book as far in advance as you can. Waiting until a few months prior to your trip could mean not getting the resort or type of room you want.

Another thing to consider is making Advanced Dining Reservations. Anyone can make them 180 days in advance, but resort guests can make them for 180 + up to 10 days more - so you can usually make all of your dining reservations for your whole vacation 180 days out from your arrival date, instead of having to go back in daily to book each day separately.

Also, you will have to have purchased and linked tickets to your My Disney Experience account in order to book FastPass+ attraction selections. Resort guests can do this 60 days in advance.

Once you're booked, if a special offer comes out, you can absolutely call in and try to rebook your vacation using a  promotional offer. I think this is a win-win situation. If an offer doesn't come out that would apply, you still have the vacation you want booked.

Good luck with your planning, Crystal!
