My family just booked our resort and we are DVC members, I'm wondering if I can make dining reservations before I purchase the dining plan or tickets to the park?

    Hi Rebecca,

First of all, congratulations on your Disney Vacation Club membership! I am so glad to hEAR that you have an upcoming Walt Disney World Resort reservation booked with your Disney Vacation Club points and that you are putting your membership to good use. Before you know it, you will be hearing that lovely "Welcome Home" greeting as you arrive at your Disney Vacation Club Resort hotel to start your holiday.

Rebecca, you are definitely smart to be thinking in advance about dining reservations for your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, as many popular restaurants and dining experiences book up early. You will be happy to know that online Walt Disney World dining reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance.

While you do not need a Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation to make a dining reservation, you will gain an added advantage of being able to make dining reservations for your entire length of stay (up to 10 consecutive days) starting 180 days in advance of your Resort check-in date. This is a great perk for Walt Disney World Resort hotel guests, so definitely be sure to take advantage of this early booking window. Just be sure to link your Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation to your My Disney Experience account prior to making your dining reservations, and then you should be all set. It is not necessary for you to purchase your Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park Tickets or Disney Dining Plan prior to making dining reservations.

I hope this information is helpful Rebecca. Wishing you a MAGICAL upcoming Disney vacation!
