My family is booked to take our first Disney Cruise this coming June. I have read about getting, or trading, pins on the cruise. Do you win pins for certain activities or are they talking about pins you purchase on each ship?

    Ahoy, Herbert!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel - thanks for stopping by!

Your first Disney Cruise, how exciting! Get ready to be amazed, entertained and treated like a VIP. Disney Cruise Line's personalized service will impress you from the moment you step on the ship! Our first cruise ever was a Disney Cruise, and we were hooked - they're the best.

Pin Trading is a fun way to connect with crew members, other guests, and entertainers while on your cruise. Starter kits are sold in the ship's gift shops, and come with a lanyard and several pins to trade. Disney Pin Trading has become a really fun tradition, and a cool way to bring home some unique souvenirs from your vacation!

Throughout your sailing, there will be several activities you can participate in where you can win "prizes". So far, I've only been the proud recipient of a Disney Cruise Line keychain or two, but I'm sure they might give away special pins as well. They will also hold special gatherings for pin exchanges - check your Personal Navigator (your daily schedule, delivered to your stateroom) for times and locations.

Hope this helps, and I hope you enjoy your cruise this June. Maybe you'll come home with a prized, limited-edition Disney Cruise Line pin to add to your collection! You can see examples of some super-fun collectible Disney Cruise Line Pins here.
