With a family of 4 and some of the bills at the restaurants being a bit high from where I typically frequent. What is the typical tip at these restaurants? 15% Some are $50.00 per person or 200.00 a sitting $30.00 tip for a sitting is average

    Hi Delbert.

Thanks for choosing to visit the Moms Panel with your question.

At the end of your Disney Dining meal, you'll be presented with your check. At the bottom, you'll find the recommended, average gratuity amounts, based on your food and beverage total. The amounts for a 15%, 18% and 20% tip to your server will be shown for you. If you wish, you may select and circle one of these amounts to be charged to your room or credit card, or choose to leave cash accordingly.

Although 15% of the bill is the average, recommended gratuity for average service, an amount of 18%, 20% or even higher should be given if you feel that the service you received was exceptional. Since I find that most service my family receives at Walt Disney World is exceptional, we often leave the amount equivalent to 18% or occasionally 20%.

At certain, specified Disney Dining locations such as Dinner Shows, gratuity is included in your per person cost. This is the case at such locations as: Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, Mickey's Backyard BBQ and Cinderella's Royal Table. Gratuity is also included for Private In-Room Dining and Pizza Delivery to your room.

I welcome you to write me back with more questions about the planning of your family's upcoming vacation.

Wishing you a simply Magical time on your Walt Disney World vacation Delbert!
