My family will be attending our 1st MNSSHP. Can you take pictures with the characters at the dance parties? Is there anything you can tell me about seeing as many characters as we can. Thanks!

    Hi Christi,

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (MNSSHP) will be one of the highlights of your trip!  In my experience, the characters at the dance parties don't really stop & pose for pictures. They dance & interact with guests which can make for some really cute pictures.

As soon as you enter Town Square, you should begin seeing characters. People have a tendency to stop - I'd keep going & come back a little later.

Captain Jack Sparrow is appearing in Adventureland near Pirates of the Caribbean. He will be super popular since there isn't typically a meet & greet with him any other times. All 7 of the dwarfs are appearing in Frontierland - again very rare so expect longer lines.

Duffy Bear appears but he also appears at Epcot. If you're planning to go to Epcot, wait & see him there unless you just have to see him in a Halloween Costume.

The princesses appear with the princes but not in Halloween Costumes. Unless you just want to see the princes, skip them & see them during regular theme park hours. Same for Tinker Bell & the fairies. Ditto for Buzz Lightyear in Tomorrowland.

Adventureland will be full of characters including some rarely seen ones like Genie, Abu, Tarzan & Jane.

Cinderella's Carriage is in Fantasyland just past "it's a small world" if you're heading towards Liberty Square. No characters here.

Following the Villains Dance Mix & Mingle, some come off the stage & pose for pictures but only for a short time since they have to prepare for 4 shows during the evening. Pick one & jump in line.

If you are visiting the MK any other time during your trip, do the rides during your other visit & concentrate on special events for MNSSHP.

I'm out of room but hope this helps with a plan of action.  Wishing you minnie spooktacular memories :-) Allison
