Hello, Family and I will be arriving June 23rd. I have a dd7, dd6, ds4. Do you think the 6 and 7 year old are old enough for toweer of terror and rockin roller coaster?

    Hi Cathy,

You must be so excited for your upcoming vacation!  There is so much to see and do at Disney World, you and your family are sure to make some great memories.

Tower of Terror and Rockin' Roller Coaster are tricky.  You know your children best and are the best judge of what they can or cannot handle.  I will tell you that both attractions have height requirements: you must be 40 inches to ride Tower of Terror and 48 inches to ride Rockin' Roller Coaster.

Being tall enough doesn't necessarily mean they are ready for either attraction.  I can tell you that we took my oldest son on Tower of Terror when he was 6, and he hated it.  He's 10 now, and I still have to bribe him to ride with me.  My younger son was 7 on our last vacation, and he doesn't like it either.

Now, Rockin' Roller Coaster is a different story!  When my oldest was 6, he was just barely tall enough, but he refused to ride.  However, as a 10 year old, it's his FAVORITE attraction in any park, and his 7 year old brother feels the same way.  It helps that they both think Aerosmith is cool (thanks to Guitar Hero).  I think they truly feel like rock stars on that attraction.

If you have little daredevils and they are tall enough - go for it.  Tower of Terror can be a little creepy at times, and I think the fear of the unknown is what makes my kids dislike it so much.  Both attractions are a lot of fun if you like thrill rides, so even if your children can't ride, ask for a rider switch pass.  One adult can ride while the other waits, and then the other adult can get right on without waiting in a long line.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!
