    Brendan from NY Asked

Hi, My family and me are arriving a day later then my mother and my sisters family. Since our party is linked together will they be able to make reservations when they reach the 180 day mark for us or will we have to make them a day later?

Hi, Brendan! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I'm super happy to break the good news: the reservation system will be open for you and for your sister at the same time. While the FastPass+ system is based on a Guest's arrival date, the dining reservation system allows all Guests to make their reservations as soon as their desired date is 180 days away.

Guests who have booked their stays at a Disney Hotel do enjoy an advantage that can be very strategic, but this specific benefit gives families the ability to book up to 10 days beyond their check-in date and does not change the date when you can start booking.

That means that you and your sister will be able to access the reservation system at the same time (180 days before your arrival, at 6:00 a.m. EST) and book tables for your whole family at the same time, but at different restaurants. This is a great strategy to get harder reservations like those at Cinderella's Royal Table and Be Our Guest Restaurant.

The only difference between your access and your sister's access on that first day is that she will be able to book tables for her entire stay (up to 10 days) and you will only access that feature on the following day. This benefit, though, will not limit the number of seats that she will be able to book, so she can take the lead and book tables for the whole group as soon as the system is open.

I hope these tips help you and your sister make the best dining reservations for this trip, Brendan! If you need more help before January is here, please, stop by. We're here for you!

May the magic be with you,

    Julie
