My family is already planning a trip to WDW in March of 2017. We will be traveling with children of various ages and would love to be able to provide them with a magical experience. How far in advance can you book rooms, dinning and other fun things?

    Hi Angela,

Boy have you come to the right place! The Disney Parks Moms Panel is filled with people like you who love to plan Disney vacations - sometimes even years in advance. Personally I believe some of the magic surrounding a Walt Disney World vacation stems from planning it.

You may book a room-only Disney Resort hotel reservation up to 499 days in advance by calling the phone number listed in this linked page for Disney Resort hotel reservations. If you would like to add theme park tickets and/or a Disney Dining Plan you may do so once the vacation packages and final room rates are released. Typically room rates and vacation package prices are released in the summer for the following year. Therefore you would first be able to book your Disney Resort hotel room when you are 499 days away from your check in.  Later during the summer of 2016 you will have the option of converting your room-only reservation to a vacation package if you desire.

Currently Advanced Dining Reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance. Guests who are staying in a Disney Resort hotel may also make up to an additional 10 days of Advanced Dining Reservations at their 180 day mark.

There are also a multitude of Walt Disney World Events and Tours to choose from when designing your family's magical vacation. Click on the individual event to find the pricing and booking availabilities. Keep in mind that events and pricing are subject to change.

Thank you for your question and I hope to hear from you again as you plan your family's magical Walt Disney World vacation!

    Blessings,
