We are family of 6 adults and our 2 yr old grandaughter If we go and pay adult rates for a restaurant are we still required to pay a child's rate for a 2 year old or can we share as she is 2 and eats so little. Table service and charecter meals. Thnx.

    Hi Ann,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you are planning a magical family vacation to Walt Disney World Resort and I am so happy to help you with your planning. Since your little princess is under 3 years old, you have quite a bit of flexibility in how she eats during your vacation since she has a smaller appetite. Adults in your family are free to share with her from their plates at all of your meals. Guests who are 2 years old and under are complimentary at buffets and family style locations, including Character Dining restaurants, so you can make her a plate of her own from the options offered. Just be sure to let your server know that she is under 3 years old.

We brought both of my boys to see Mickey when they were 2 years old and both of them ate an awesome variety of foods by either sharing with the "big kids" or enjoying options off of the buffet. We also found that sometimes the best option for the family was to order an extra side dish or appetizer either as our little one's entree or to share with the table to make sure everyone had plenty to eat.

Please let us know if you have any other questions as you continue planning your trip. T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
