My family and I, 6 adults and one 18 month old, are planning a trip for next spring. We are trying to decide if it would be better to have two rooms or get a two bedroom villa? We are planning on using the deluxe dining plan so a kitchen is not a must.

    Hi April,

If money is not an issue, then I'd go for the two bedroom villa. The two bedroom villas sleep up to eight or nine guests, depending on where they're located, with room to sleep up to six adults on real beds (the remaining sleep surface is a pull-out couch).

The key factor is that with a villa, you have this room to six on real beds PLUS a sitting/conversation area that is not someone's sleep area. This means that if some adults want to sleep, others can sit up and watch TV or talk without disturbing them. Also, this allow you to put the baby to sleep in one bedroom and not force all the adults into the other bedroom.

My family often stays in two bedroom villas. We rarely use the kitchen, but we take full advantage of the living room hang out area.

Also, some of the 2BR villas have three bathroom, which can help with getting ready in the morning if you have lots of adults.

Of course, you may find that getting two separate rooms is less expensive than a villa, particularly if those rooms are at a value or moderate resort. So if price is your primary concern, then you may want to avoid the villas.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
