Where can a family of 6 (2 adults 4 kids (1 of whom is under 3) stay? I'd love to stay at the Polynesian - if the baby is under 3, can we stay there and request a trundle? If not there, what other Deluxe Resort (suites or villas) can we fit into?

    Hi Melanie!

Thank you for directing your question to me!  I've got a secret...the Polynesian Resort is my favorite of all the resorts at Walt Disney World.  In fact, if I lived in Orlando, I'd still want to book a vacation at the Polynesian!

You've asked a really good question.  For the standard rooms at the Polynesian, five people are the max per room.  However, you still have a couple of options if you want to stay at the Polynesian.

Your first option would be to book two rooms that are adjoining.  I've talked to many families that have done this and they've all said it works great.  They just keep the connecting doors propped open and it's like having one massive room.

In order to do this, I would recommend calling Walt Disney World at (407) WDISNEY or (407) 934-7639 and speaking to a cast member that can assist you with this reservation.  You can try to do it online, but I like to phone in my reservations if I have a special request.

Your second option would be to book a suite at the Polynesian.  (I've stayed in the Princess Suite before and it was incredible!)  To get the specifics on pricing and sleeping capacities for the various suites at the Polynesian, you'll have to call the number listed above.  Unfortunately, that information isn't available yet on Disney's website.

If those two options don't work out, you can always fall back on the other Deluxe resorts on property.  For example, the Wilderness Lodge and the Boardwalk Inn both have rooms that can sleep up to six guests.  Plus the other Deluxe resorts also have suites if you'd like to splurge and have more room to spread out.

I hope that helps and I hope you have an awesome vacation!!
