For a family of 4 adults and 1 child do you recommend staying in 2 rooms on the monarail or a suite at the beach club villas. We are looking for easy access and convenience. Thanks patty

The question is really, what is it that you want easy access to? The monorail hotels (Contemporary, Grand Floridian, and Polynesian) offer easy access to the Magic Kingdom. The Beach Club offers easy access to Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios.

I have stayed at both the Grand Floridian and the Beach Club Villas many times and they are both fabulous experiences. When my kids were super small, I think the Floridian was a better option because of the ease of rolling strollers on and off the monorail. But with a 4 to 1 adult/child ratio, I don't think this is much of an issue for you. You will always have enough hands to deal with the child and his/her associated gear no matter where you're going. The other reason to stay at the Floridian is if you're going to be spending almost all your time at the MK. This may be the case if your child is very young.

Ever since our youngest kids (twins) were about four, we've stayed most of the time at the Beach Club Villas. We've found it quite easy to take the bus to the Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom in the morning. Then in the afternoon we go back to the hotel and swim. The Yacht and Beach Club pool is universally acknowledged to be the best in all of WDW. It's really a mini water park all on it's own. Then later in afternoon or evening we head over to DHS or Epcot. I find the Epcot dining options to be among our favorites. Our girls can now stay up later and enjoy a good restaurant meal in the evening. Then it's just a quick 5 minute walk back to bed at the Beach Club. We also love the villa set-up with separate rooms for sleeping and sitting.

As you can see there are pros/cons to each. If your child is younger, the Grand Floridian may be better for you. If the child is older, or you have big swimmers in your group, I'd go for the Beach Club.
