We have 2 families staying in the same 2 bedroom villa. Each family will most likely want different ticket options. We have seen that everyone in the same room has to have the same type of ticket. what options do we have?

Hi Tim, It's not necessarily true that everyone in the same room has to have the same tickets. You're welcome to book a room-only reservation with the two families. Then you all could just buy your own park tickets at the park gate or any guest relations office. These tickets could be completely different for each individual. Things do get slightly more complicated if you're planning to get the Disney Dining Plan, because everyone in the room has to be on the same plan. If this is your situation, my advice is to call Disney directly at 407-W-DISNEY and speak with a reservationist. They may be able to offer you some other alternatives. Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if we can provide additional assistance.
