When do most families start planning their vacation? I know it is going to be an investment and I want to prepare for it and make it a special trip.

    Hi JeNiece,

You are so right! A Disney vacation is an investment and a precious gift of priceless family memories that you will be giving to your family. I recommend that you start planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation about a year in advance. This will allow you time to book the resort of your choice. Advanced Dining Reservations can be made up to 180-days (approximately 6-months) in advance, so this will give you time to do some research and really plan out which character meals and restaurants you want to enjoy. Many places such as Cinderella's Royal Table book up within minutes of the 180-day window, so you will need to be logged in to the computer right at 6am to book it. Your FastPass+ selections can be made 60-days prior to arrival if you are staying in a Disney Resort Hotel.

If you would like some recommendations for which resorts to stay in based on your family size and dynamics, and which restaurants are considered "must do's", please be sure to send us follow up questions. We would love to help you plan!

    Wishing you magical memories,

    Kaylene
