Hello! I am very familiar with Disney World but have not been to Disneyland since childhood. We are planning a trip to Anaheim next year and I am curious as to what differences I can expect between the two? How long should we plan on spending there?

    Hello Caroline!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I hope you are having a magical week!

I have trips planned for both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort this year and I’m very excited. I love both, but my heart really does lie with Disneyland Resort for one reason... Cars Land! Radiator Springs Racers is hands down my favorite ride and I love all of the scenery and action that surround it.

A few of the attractions that are at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World  have slight differences that make it seem like a whole new ride as well! Hyperspace Mountain (Space Mountain has joined the Season of the Force temporarily) has cars with the seats side-by-side vs 3 in its Walt Disney World counterpart. Pirates of the Caribbean has a larger “drop” during the ride and Peter Pan’s Flight has a few differences as well.

Typically, my family enjoys 3 days at Disneyland Resort. I also get the Park Hopper option for our park tickets as I like to go to one park during the day, then switch it up at night. The Paint The Night Parade is not to be missed as well. So many fun things to do at Disneyland Resort, I know you will make some pretty Unforgettable Moments!

I hope this helps and please let me know if you need anything else as you plan your visit!

    See you real soon!
