My fam of 5 arrived @ Boardwalk in 5 days - yea! Heard it never hurts to ask at checkin if any room upgrades are avail-1st time staying there, so I don't know what to request re: room locale, balkcony, etc (no guarantees, but want to ask the right Qs)

    Hi Rachel!

Congratulations on your visit to Walt Disney World and Disney's Boardwalk Inn Resort!  It is absolutely gorgeous and the atmosphere is so fun and festive.  Our kids especially love the pool with its fast and fun "Keister Coaster!"

Yes, it's true that you can ask for a room upgrade, but there is no guarantee that one will be available at the time you check in.  It never hurts to ask, though, right?!

For some, the location is important, and they would ask for a room closer to the pool, or the lobby, the bus stop, or closest to EPCOT - the International Gateway Entrance to EPCOT is within walking distance of this Resort.  Some may also want to be closer to an elevator, because that Resort is so large that you can actually end up walking quite a distance down some long hallways just to get to your room.

Others may prefer a certain floor, either a lower or upper level.

For us, we would request a "room with a view," preferably one looking over the Boardwalk itself, over to Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resort, or with a view of EPCOT.  It's so nice to be able to sit on your balcony and watch Illuminations from EPCOT in the evening!

Consider what's most important to you all, and don't be shy to ask!  Have a magical vacation!
