Hi Faith I have another question what is the bag policy for spectators at the 10k and the marathon trying to decide if I should have my son bag check or should we carry his stuff and if my kids should hold my stuff for the 10k or should I bag check

    Hello, Julie!

There will be a bag search that all runners and spectators will initial go through when entering the Start Zone Area. However, spectators are not required to check their personal bags. So if it's easier for you to hold your son's items while he runs the marathon, you will be able to do so. And the same goes for you while you participate in the 10K. In my opinion, I would utilize the gEAR Bag check for the marathon, due to the amount of time it takes to complete this race. And your son will pass right by bag claim as he exits the runners chute to meet you in the Family Reunion Area, making it relatively convenient.

If you do decide to utilize bag check, just be sure to use the clear gEAR Bag you will receive at packet pick-up during the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo. Also, be sure to affix the bib number sticker to the front of the bag, it will not be accepted otherwise.

I hope this helps as you continue planning out race morning logistics, Julie. As always, I am here for you should any additional questions come up.

    Have a great day,

    Faith
