Extending our vacation from the "Magic" in April. Will need transportation to WDW. Does Disney offer transportation? If not, will need a rental. Can I get a car from the Port of Miami to drive to WDW? Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard, Georgeann! Next spring you'll make so many magical memories when you set sail on the Disney Magic. I shouldn't be partial because all four of Disney's pixie-dusted ships are amazing, but the Magic is one of my favorites! From Marvel's Avengers Academy in the Oceaneer Club to the thrilling AquaDunk water slide to one of my favorite restaurant, Carioca's (oh, those Lobster, Shrimp, and Mahi Mahi skewers -yum!), and the new Broadway-style musical, Tangled, there is Disney magic in every area of this ship!

I love the idea of extending your Disney Cruise Line vacation by heading up to Walt Disney World for some more Disney fun after your cruise. We do this every time we sail from Port Canaveral! Since you're sailing on the Magic out of Miami, I'm sorry to say that Disney does not currently offer transportation from that port to Orlando. However, renting a car at the port is super easy, and pretty affordable. Once you're on Walt Disney World property, you won't need that car, as they offer complimentary transportation all around the resorts and parks, and even the free Magical Express service to the Orlando International Airport from your resort, if you'll be flying home from there.

Alamo has a car rental spot right near the Miami cruise terminal, and they also have convenient rental return locations right on Walt Disney World property when you're in Orlando, so that would make a very easy transition. There are also plenty of other car rental agencies at the port of Miami. Just check out a few different companies for the best pricing and be sure they offer a free shuttle to their rental office from the port, and you'll be all set.

    Happy planning, Georgeann!
