    Dan from TN Asked

When there are extended hours at the Epcot and Magic Kingdom what time are fireworks? How do they know which guests can stay longer?

Hi, Dan! Your Walt Disney World trip is quickly approaching- if you haven't done so already, it's time to get the countdown calendar out!

Each day, one of the Parks offers morning or evening Extra Magic Hours. During evening Extra Magic Hours, a theme park will remain open for Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels for two hours later than it is open to the general public. While visiting Walt Disney World in the morning is undoubtedly a fantastic experience, it is even more magical at night! Resort Guests opting to stay and take advantage of this perk will be asked to scan their MagicBands at attraction FastPass+ entrances before riding to show they are staying on site. In June, it looks like evening Extra Magic Hours will be in Epcot on Tuesdays from 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM and in Magic Kingdom Park on Wednesdays from 10:00 PM to 12:00 AM. These would be good days to sleep in and get a little extra shut-eye, so you can burn the midnight oil!

I think you're brilliant to try to see the fireworks shows during evenings that the respective Parks has evening Extra Magic Hours. Walt Disney World's Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom Park (starting at 9:15 PM) and IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth at Epcot (9:00 PM) are among its best-loved attractions. As soon as these shows end, you'll see an exodus of Guests heading towards the exits. In my opinion, this is the best time to stay and play as you'll have fewer people clamoring to get on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or Soarin' Around the World!

    Have a great trip, Dan!
