Our extended family of 9 is sailing on the Dream in March. Do you have any activity suggestions that the whole family can do together? With a wide range ages, I'm afraid we may go in different directions for the entire cruise.

    Ahoy, Kristie!

Taking a cruise with a wide variety of ages is going to be so much fun! Even if you tend to separate for part of the day, you can all meet up in the main dining rooms for a lovely meal together each evening. My smaller family of four has only one rule about spending time together and it is at dinner. That doesn't mean that we don't do other things as a family, it just is our guaranteed time together.

One activity that comes to mind for your family is attending the Broadway-style shows. While it is good to go to the shows together, please know that saving seats is not allowed in the Walt Disney Theatre, so you will need your whole party to arrive together in order to find seats.

Some other fun activities are family games shows, animation classes, and trivia games. These will all be listed on your daily navigator so you can plan our your day. We also took part in some fun games in the pool area. There are family dance parties and of course, the Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party, where your whole family can dress in their pirate-y finest. (The pictures taken on Pirate Night are probably my favorites of the entire cruise!)

The adults of the party can partake in a wine or whiskey tasting, or maybe even a mixology class. We have found these to be a lot of fun, and try to attend at least one per cruise. There are also adult game shows in the evenings, which are pretty hilarious.

I hope this helps with your cruise planning. Please let us know if we can answer more questions before your voyage on the high seas with Disney Cruise Line!

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
