If some of our extended family are Resort Guests, and some not - how do extra hrs work? Morning, offsite can't get in - but how about Night xtra hrs? Can we stay in with whole family? How is that monitor?

Hello Brenda, and thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

I am so excited to hear that you are planning a large family group vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort. You will make some amazing memories with your family members. One of the main reasons why I always stay at a Disney Resort Hotel is because of Extra Magic Hours. Every day, at least one theme park has an Extra Magic Hour in the morning or three hours in the evening. You can always check the calendar with the park hours listed, ask a Cast Member, or check the Times Guide for any changes or updates.

Extra Magic Hours are an amazing benefit that is offered only to guests staying at participating Walt Disney World Resort hotels. Valid theme park admission and hotel ID are required. Once a park closes to guests during regular operating hours. Cast Members will ask all guests to scan their MagicBands before entering the queue for a ride or attraction. Any guests who are not registered to a participating Disney Resort Hotel will not be able to board or enter an attraction and will be directed to the park exit by Cast Members. Please note that rides and attractions available during Extra Magic Hours are subject to change. In addition to Extra Magic Hours, guests staying at select Disney Resort Hotels will also receive complimentary MagicBands, the luxury of charging food and merchandise back to their hotel room account and being able to make FastPass+ selections 60 days prior to your check-in date. There are so many other benefits to staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, hopefully, it’s not too late for your family members to change their plans and be fully immersed in the magic during your stay.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
