Explanation for restautants: Table service - does that mean a waiter will come an bring the food that you selected from a card ?- How goes that together with "all you care to eat" - for me that means buffet and not table service. Can you help me

Hi, Karin!  A "counter service" or "quick service" meal is when you walk up to a counter, pay for your food, and take it with you to your seat (think fast food - McDonald's.)

A "table service" will be a more formal meal.  It can be in several formats:

-A BUFFET where you go up to the serving line and choose what you want and you can return for more food as often as you wish.
-FAMILY STYLE where platters of food are brought to your table to share.   Platters are refilled upon your request.
-Ordering off a MENU.  This is just a server letting you choose from a menu and your selection is brought to you.   What you order is what you get, no "refills" on the food!

If you are on the Disney Dining plan, most table service locations will be one credit.   Signature Dining (California Grill, etc.) or Dinner Shows (Mickey's Backyard BBQ, etc.) require 2 credits.  For a complete list of restaurants and whether they are quick or table service, click HERE.   If you have questions about a specific location, let us know and we can give you more details on that restaurant.

Hope this helps!  Have fun choosing your WDW dining locations!
